During the webinar Reusable Packaging (in Dutch) Mission Reuse, Thuiswinkel.org and the Netherlands Institute for Sustainable Packaging (KIDV) explore the opportunities for reusable packaging in the e-commerce sector. Which online retailers are already working with reusable packaging and what are their experiences? How does the consumer perceive it? And where are the opportunities for upscaling?

About the organisations
Thuiswinkel.org is the Dutch Association of E-retailers, that amongst others supports web shops make the best choice when it comes to sustainable packaging. In October they published the ‘Guide Sustainable Packaging 2021', which can be downloaded here for free. Together with Mission Reuse and the KIDV, Thuiswinkel.org performed a survey on how the market thinks about reusable packaging in e-commerce.
Mission Reuse is an initiative of Enviu, Recycling Network Benelux and Natuur & Milieu. Together, they want to permanently embed reusable packaging in society. Mission Reuse makes reusable packaging solutions visible, accessible and affordable for everyone.
The KIDV has set up the Community of Practice Reusable Packaging to further investigate together the challenges and opportunities of reuse. The aim of this project is to provide producers and importers of packaging and packaged products with concrete tools to investigate and/or implement reusable packaging systems.
