Ambitious new regulation, but much elaboration still needed
December 1, 2022
Registrations for the 2023 Dutch Packaging Waste Fund Awards are open. Four categories are about packaging. Do you have the best recyclable, reusable or rethink packaging, or the packaging with the most innovative use of recyclate? Then register your packaging now.
The Dutch Packaging Waste Fund has the ambition to further close the packaging chain: to recycle more and more packaging waste into raw materials for new products and packaging. The Waste Fund takes up this challenge with the other parties in the chain: the business community, municipalities, sorters and recyclers. The focus is on sustainable packaging, proper collection, preventing litter, innovation in sorting and recycling and the application of recycled material.
Last year, striking examples to close the packaging chain were put in the spotlight and rewarded during the Dutch Packaging Waste Fund Awards 2022. This year, the Awards will again be presented in various categories, because good initiatives and collaborations remain badly needed to further develop packaging recycling and achieve the recycling targets. The Dutch Packaging Waste Fund organises the Awards together with Nederland Schoon, Nedvang, the Netherlands Institute for Sustainable Packaging (KIDV) and Statiegeld Nederland.
This year there are the following categories:
Sorters and recyclers
