Zeelandia’s plastic bags for bread improver 23% lighter

Zeelandia takes environmental aspects into account when considering whether or not to switch to a different way of working. The use of thinner foils is always on the agenda in discussions with packaging film suppliers. Alternative thinner foils are tested extensively with the existing fleet of machinery. It thus proved possible to reduce the weight of the plastic bags that hold the bread improver by 23%. Zeelandia regards it as a challenge to minimize the impact of rising plastic prices on the price of the end product.
