KIDV-Webinar 'Business-to-business models for reusable packaging'

27 mei 2021
  • Online

De voertaal van deze webinar is Engels.

International interest in tackling sustainability challenges and reducing material use is growing. Many developments are taking place in the field of reusable packaging systems, including Business-to-Business (B2B) models. The KIDV Community of Practice on Reusable Packaging organises a webinar on this subject.

Recently, reuse/fill systems have gained considerable popularity as a way to reduce the environmental impact of packaging, especially for consumer packaging. At the same time, reuse can bring considerable cost savings and therefore reusable packaging systems have long been widely used in the business-to-business (B2B) market. Pallets, crates, drums, bulk containers and big bags are widely used by many industries. Mainly for financial reasons, but increasingly we see and appreciate the environmental benefits of these systems, making them an extra reason for implementation. What opportunities and trends do we see in reusable B2B packaging? What are some of the more novel concepts? And what can B2C models learn from all this?
