The new smart cleaning product SophieGreen goes beyond a fresh and clean home. It is the answer to the unnecessary pile of plastic waste. SophieGreen is a new Dutch brand that opts for nature-friendly cleaning products in sustainable plastic-free packaging to reduce the amount of disposable plastic worldwide.
Plastic-free eco-refill
Sophie's One-Bottle-Philosophy ensures that cleaning bottles can be reused. How? With SophieGreen's plastic-free eco-refills. Fill a bottle with 750ml of water from the tap and add SophieGreen's cleaning powder. In no time the bottle is filled with a powerful all-purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner or kitchen cleaner. Per eco-refill, you save one plastic bottle. Bye bye waste!
No bottle? SophieGreen also has a Bottle4Life, which already contains the cleaning product and can be refilled again and again. The bottle is made of PET and is recyclable, as is the trigger. The refill cartridges and outer packaging are made from paper cellulose and are therefore fully recyclable.
In addition to the eco-refills, SophieGreen also offers Sopje in a completely plastic-free cardboard packaging. A teaspoon of powder and 7L of water make a bucket of suds. This saves another large plastic bottle. The cardboard tube can be used as a storage box for the eco-refills after use.
SophieGreen's eco-refills were declared winners in the Sustainability category at the NL Packaging Awards 2020.
Besides sustainable packaging, the product is also biodegradable (99.9%) and free of phosphates, ammonia, parabens and EDTA. Due to the compactness of the packaging, this saves on transport and therefore on CO2 emissions. The refills also take up less warehouse and shelf space. The consumers first drivers to buy a cleaning product is to clean well and smell delicious, and SophieGreen has well succeeded in this.
